In the early hours of the morning—long before the first golfer teed off—the ground crew was already hard at work under floodlights, preparing the course at 2:30 a.m. for a day of remembrance, competition, and camaraderie.

This year’s 9/11 Memorial Golf Tournament held special meaning, commemorating the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and honoring the lives lost that day, as well as the veterans, first responders, and military personnel who served in the aftermath. What began in 2002 as the first 9/11 Memorial Tournament has grown into a powerful tradition of unity, service, and support.

The 2025 event brought together 148 golfers, representing veterans, families, and community members, all united by a shared commitment to honor sacrifice and celebrate service. With 15 generous sponsors backing the event, the day was filled with not only spirited competition but also a deep sense of purpose.

The winning team posted an impressive score of 55—but in the true spirit of giving, they gifted their first-place prize back to the golf course, underscoring the heart of this event: service above self.

As players shared stories, remembered heroes, and celebrated friendships both old and new, the tournament stood as a powerful reminder of how a community can come together to honor the past while building hope for the future.
