Seattle Means Business! is thrilled to announce Linda Lowry as its new Managing Editor. Linda brings a wealth of experience in journalism, media, and public relations to one of Seattle's most influential lifestyle and business publications. With her extensive background in fostering community and business relationships, Linda is poised to elevate the magazine's voice, amplifying the stories that shape the Greater Seattle area's economic and cultural landscape.

Linda's career is marked by her unwavering commitment to social justice and community empowerment. As a leader and connector, she continuously seeks innovative ways to bring people together, build strategic partnerships, and drive impactful conversations. Her work with organizations like Year Up United has been instrumental in bridging opportunity gaps for underrepresented communities, a cause she holds close to her heart.

Her appointment as Managing Editor is a natural extension of this mission. Under her leadership, Seattle Means Business! will champion diverse voices, celebrate innovation, and provide insightful, thought-provoking coverage of the city's ever-evolving business scene. Beyond her editorial work, Linda is a recognized media personality. She is the biweekly columnist for "Social in Seattle," where she spotlights the city's most exciting events, influential figures, and cultural celebrations. Her coverage extends to KOMO News, where she continues to engage audiences with the top monthly events and Seattle's vibrant social and business communities.

Linda also holds leadership positions in organizations that shape the city's future. As the Seattle Arts Commissioner, she advocates for the power of art and culture to enrich Seattle. In her role as Director at Year Up United, she leverages her communication and leadership skills to champion equal opportunities. Additionally, as a board member of Providence Christmas Trees and an avid volunteer with the American Lung Association, she is an advocate for health equity, engaging with top business and civic leaders to drive meaningful change.

Linda's leadership isn't confined to the newsroom. As a member of an all-women sailing team, she embodies resilience, teamwork, and the power of breaking barriers. Her passion for mentorship is equally inspiring, as she actively supports young women, guiding them toward success in media, technology, and business.

Her motto? "Seas the day." And with her at the helm, Seattle Means Business! is poised to do just that-elevating stories, shaping conversations, and driving the city's business and cultural dialogue forward.

As Managing Editor, Linda Lowry is set to redefine Seattle Means Business! as a platform that not only informs but also inspires and empowers. Expect richer narratives, deeper insights, and a stronger emphasis on the voices that make Seattle one of the most dynamic cities in the nation.
