On International Women’s Day, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) pulsed with energy as women from all walks of life gathered to celebrate strength, resilience, and ambition. The event, hosted in partnership with iHeartMedia Seattle, brought together trailblazers, visionaries, and changemakers—each with a story to tell and an impact to make.

A Tapestry of Stories

As the doors opened at 12:15 p.m., guests—each dressed to express their unique identity—stepped into a space where empowerment took center stage. The energy was palpable. A live DJ sets the rhythm for an afternoon of connection and inspiration.

Following a brief yet impactful introduction by Michele Y. Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), the conference was opened by Hend Alhinnawi, Executive Director & CEO of Humanitarian Tracker. The keynote speaker, Carmen Best, former Seattle Police Chief and advocate for equity in leadership, then took the stage with resonant words. She spoke of resilience, navigating uncharted spaces, and the power of uplifting others as we ascend.

Two dynamic panels followed, featuring local pioneers in finance, career development, wellness, and mental health. They shared insights on breaking barriers, building sustainable success, and prioritizing well-being in high-pressure environments. Women in the audience nodded in agreement, taking notes, exchanging glances of understanding, and feeling seen.

Between sessions, attendees sipped, savored, and engaged in meaningful conversations. Networking was effortless—organic moments of connection sprouted as women shared their triumphs and struggles, finding common ground in their experiences.
