Seattle is fully awake for spring, and April is packed with the kind of events that remind you why this city is such a vibrant, creative, communitydriven place to live. Whether you’re into circus arts, space parties, fashion salons, or industry gatherings, this month has something that will pull you out of the house and into the energy of the city.

The Moisture Festival runs now through April 12 on Capitol Hill, bringing the world’s largest and longestrunning comedyvariety festival back to Seattle. It’s a joyful mix of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, comedians, musicians, and vaudeville performers, and no two nights are ever the same. The festival is entirely artistdriven, and its community spirit is a big part of why performers return year after year. If you want a night that feels unpredictable, nostalgic, and wonderfully weird, this is the one.

On April 11, Yuri’s Night transforms the Museum of Flight into a 21+ intergalactic nightclub. It’s a highenergy celebration of real and imagined spaceflight, complete with DJs, immersive art, cosplay, and a chance to meet Dr. Stephen Robinson, a fourtime NASA shuttle astronaut. Dancing under the SR71 Blackbird has become a signature Seattle moment, and with headliner DJ Chris Luno taking over the main stage, this year’s party is set to be one of the biggest yet.

April 12 brings The Big Taste to Block 41 in Belltown, a lively tasting event featuring more than 40 Northwest wineries, breweries, distilleries, and cideries. With live music from The Ranken File and a mission to support organizations like Outdoors for All, We Heart Seattle, and the University Sunrise Rotary Foundation, it’s a night where community impact meets a true tastingroom atmosphere. Last year’s event drew over 600 attendees and raised more than $32,000, and it’s only growing.

On April 25, the Washington State African American Achievement Awards return for their 12th year, honoring leaders who are shaping Washington’s cultural, civic, and professional landscape. Hosted at Olympic College in Bremerton, this gala highlights educators, executives, entrepreneurs, and community advocates. Honorees include Carmen Best, Michelle Merriweather, and Linda ThompsonBlack, among others. It’s a powerful evening rooted in storytelling, recognition, and community pride.

April 26 brings a refined spring moment to the Fairmont Olympic with Haute Tea: A Spring Fashion Salon. This event blends couture, community, and the hotel’s iconic Afternoon Tea service. Live models showcase looks from Pacific Northwest designers with a focus on sustainability, guided by creative director Andrew Hoge and produced by Terri Morgan. With special hotel and spa offers available, it’s a fresh, modern take on a nearly centuryold Seattle tradition.

Closing out the month, the Northwest Event Show runs April 28–30, gathering event planners, producers, venues, tech providers, and hospitality leaders from across the region. It’s the largest eventindustry gathering on the West Coast, built not just around education and innovation, but around the heart of what events are really about: human connection and fellowship. As more people seek out meaningful, inperson experiences and communitydriven moments, the eventplanning industry is expanding fast, and NWES is where that momentum comes to life.
