TASTE WA was an absolute blast, and if you missed it, you missed out on one of the most exciting weeks in Seattle! From March 11-17, the Lumen Field Event Center was the place to be, buzzing with energy as food and wine lovers gathered to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this iconic event.
One of the standout moments was the Grand Tasting on March 15 and 16. Imagine over 200 wineries and 75 restaurants all under one roof, offering a smorgasbord of flavors. The chef's demonstration stage was a hit, with culinary wizards showing off their skills and sharing the secrets behind their mouthwatering creations. It was a sensory overload in the best possible way, with exquisite wines and delectable dishes that left everyone in awe of Washington's rich culinary heritage.
But TASTE is more than just a tasting event. It's a week packed with diverse activities designed to cater to every palate. Take Bubbles & Bingo, for instance—a lively affair where guests sipped on sparkling wines while enjoying a fun game of bingo. Or Pacific Standard, an event dedicated to seafood, where acclaimed chefs prepare dishes paired with Washington's finest white, rosé, and sparkling wines. These unique events added an extra layer of excitement, ensuring there was something for everyone.
For those eager to expand their knowledge of wine, the educational seminars on March 15 were a must. These sessions covered everything from blind tastings to interactive panels with winemakers, growers, and sommeliers. Attendees had the chance to taste rare and unique wines while learning from some of the industry's top experts. It was an enriching experience for any wine enthusiast.
The New Vintage on March 14 was the talk of the town. Held at the Sanctuary Grand Ballroom at the Lotte Hotel Seattle, this glamorous evening event saw guests dressed to impress, enjoying live music, dancing, and an array of exquisite wines and culinary creations. It was a night of elegance and excitement, perfectly blending sophistication and fun.
The week wrapped up with No Frills on March 17, a laid-back event where chefs stepped out of their kitchens to share their favorite late-night snacks. This casual gathering provided a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to unwind and enjoy comfort food prepared by some of the region's top culinary talents. It was the perfect way to end a week of culinary delights.
For those seeking a bit more luxury, TASTE! WA offered VIP tickets, which included early entry to the Grand Tasting, access to the VIP Lounge, and a gift bag. VIP guests enjoyed an exclusive one-hour early entry, allowing them to explore the event and sample offerings without the crowds. The VIP experience added an extra touch of luxury to an already spectacular event.
TASTE! WA 2025 was not just a celebration of food and wine; it was a heartfelt testament to how these elements bring communities together. For those in the wine industry, it was a golden opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, and establish valuable connections. The shared love for exquisite wines and delectable dishes fostered a sense of camaraderie and unity among attendees. Whether you are a seasoned wine connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, TASTE! WA proved that the joy of food and wine transcends boundaries, creating lasting memories and strengthening community bonds. Cheers to Washington wines!
